Movement Lab - An Innovative New Dance Studio and Outreach Program
Movement Lab is a new, social enterprise that brings together private and public dance education. The school offers high quality after-school ballet, modern, jazz, parent-tot and creative movement classes to children and adults, and profits go towards the Movement Lab Outreach Program: a free learning-through-movement program for public schools and non-profit community groups.
“Movement Lab is designed for community minded families who recognize the benefits of having arts in their public schools, and want high quality classes that foster physical and emotional well-being and creativity.” Director, Ann-Marie Williams (MA Dance, BFA Dance, Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance)
A learning environment designed in this way develops invaluable transferable life skills: feeling valued, unique and capable; and having an appreciation for the pursuit of personal excellence and the fun of life-long learning.
Interested students are invited to attend an Open House on Saturday September 5th 1-4pm or Saturday September 12th 1-4pm. A free children’s sample class will take place at 2:30 on both days. Please call 416-529-5146 for details, or visit www.movementlab.ca
